A few weeks ago I started moving my email away from Outlook. A lot of this is now being done by using randomly generated addresses to a custom domain which are then forwarding to a new mailbox away from the usual services.

Progress has been slow but it's heading the right direction with some of my most important services now having new email addresses and pointing towards my new mailbox. Still, there is a hell of a long way to go.

The next task will be pondering whether I export all the emails from Microsoft's service and either find a way to import to the new one, or simply keep Outlook there as an old archive of sorts.

I don't think I'll ever completely get rid of the address I have there as I've been well within the Microsoft ecosystem for many, many years and there are some legacy things on the account that would be troublesome to shift. It's also one of the legacy @live addresses which which I got due to testing the service.

We shall see how it goes.
